#1 Chronic Cycles - $17,817 (orange county)

Chronic Cycles

Joe (Julie's son) was diagnosed with Crohn's disease when he was 15 years old. Over the last 7 years there have been many ups and downs. Despite all his health issues, Joe has never given up. His tenacity and drive motivate Julie and Tom to continue to raise funds for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation. We want to see a cure in HIS lifetime! Kelsey (Lee's daughter) was diagnosed with Crohn's disease at 19. Although she is doing well currently, she still has had flares along the way. This gives Lee motivation every day to find a cure!

 

 

 


#2 Leaky Junctions - $17,670 (philadelphia)

Capture-13Team Leaky Junctions, led by long time Philadelphia Board member Barry Katz, is back for year 2! He has been a top fundraiser in the past for both Take Steps and Team Challenge. Having raised $14,411 in 2017 when he and Chelsea ran with Team Challenge Philadelphia in beautiful Saratoga Springs, and being in the Top 3 for spin4 crohn's & colitis cures last year raising over $16,000, Barry is no stranger to striving to raise as much money as possible for this amazing Foundation! 

 


#3 spinnin4stud - $17,120 (new york city)

spinnin4stud is captained by Kara Goldstein Studwell, the executive committee chair for the nyc event. Her passion and dedication to this event is for her husband, Jonathan, a longtime patient. Team spinnin4stud was only 2 teammates in 2017, and has grown to 2 VIP bikes! Kara, along with her teammates, are dedicated to finding cures for the over 3 million Americans suffering from Crohn's. Special shout out to New York Chapter Board members Carole Ostroff and Joan Falk (Jonathan's Grandmother) for their support!

 


#4: Riding 4 2Ply - $15,940 (san francisco)

Jason was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in 1999 and and after a rough couple of early years, he has been largely in remission since 2007 thanks to the wonderful care of his doctors. While he is grateful for his own health, Jason has never forgotten all of the other patients who suffer on a daily basis from these brutal diseases. 

Last year was Jason's first time riding with spin4 crohn's & colitis cures, and he crushed it by becoming Northern California's top fundraiser in a matter of months and also placing in the Top 10 Nationally.

 

 


#5 Keepin' Up With The Kolonoscopies - $15,819 (new york city)

In 1995, Jennifer Yousem came back from vacation with a nasty stomach virus but continued to suffer long after it had left her body. After a year of tests and continued pain, she was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. Last year, her stepson Zach started developing stomach issues and spent the summer much as Jennifer had, at endless doctors trying to figure out what was wrong. It was heartbreaking to watch and when he was finally diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, Jennifer felt a rush of emotions, relief that they would finally be able to address his symptoms, and sadness that he would be relegated to a lifetime of medicine and flare-ups. She's hopeful that we will find a cure in his lifetime and is dedicated to raising money and awareness toward that goal.


#6 Team Fiedler - $15,130 (new york city)

Team Fiedler

Team Fiedler is captained by Brad Fiedler. In 2018, Team Fiedler had 4 bikes; they grew to 9 bikes in 2019!!! Brad is a longtime patient and advocate for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, and serves as an executive committee member for the nyc event. This team is comprised of Brad's family, friends, and coworkers. Go Team Fiedler!!!

 

 


#7 YP Spins 4 Cures - $14,569 (new york city)

YP spins 4 cures

YP spins 4 cures is comprised of members of the NY Chapter's Young Professionals (YP) Committee. This dynamic group grew from 2 bikes in 2018 to 3 VIP bikes in 2019. Whether a YP members is a patient or "super supporter", they are each riding to improve the quality of life of patients affected by inflammatory bowel disease. Thank you to team captain Brianna Frantellizzi, who also served as an executive committee member for the NYC event and organized fundraising events for her YP members to participate in.


#8 Ridin' Dirty - $14,096 (new york city)

Ridin Dirty is captained by New York City Board Member & spin4 crohn’s & colitis cures executive committee member Cole Charnas. A patient with ulcerative colitis, Cole is committed to raising funds via a variety of avenues to impact the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation. This year, Cole rode with his father, brother, brother-in-law and close friend Stan Kleger, who also serves on the New York City Chapter's Board.


#9 D'Aloia's Big League Chew - $13,663 (new jersey)

D'Aloia's Big League Chew, led by team captain Jaimee D'Aloia, came out to their first event this year. They kicked off their spin4 crohn's & colitis cures journey with a bang by quickly surpassing their fundraising goal and joining the national top 10! 

 

 


#10 T's Hot Wheels - $12,012 (chicago)

Paige Robinson's younger brother Taylor "T" Robinson was diagnosed with Crohn's disease when he was 13 years old. Taylor has been battling this disease for over half of his life and we will be doing all that we can to honor T and find a cure for this disease so Taylor, and millions others like him, no longer will have to battle this horrible disease. T's Hot Wheels has been a part of the Chicago spin4 event for 5 years!
